Due to the broad applicability of NovaThermal Energy’s technology, the overall market is substantial. Our target market is commercial buildings over 100,000 sq ft with proximity to large flow sewage lines. These multiple verticals include downtown residential and office, hotels, hospitals, universities and data centers.

NovaThermal Energy has an aggressive commission-based sales team. In addition, NovaThermal Energy has engaged a number of other channel partners including: energy auditors, architects, engineering firms, property management companies, and real estate developers, brokers and owners. NovaThermal Energy has a strategic partnership with a nationally-recognized mechanical engineering company to provide turnkey project design, installation and maintenance. We can also work with other design-build engineering firms.

Southern Beijing Train Station

The 1 million sq ft Beijing Train Station was opened in August 2008 as a national technology showcase for the Olympics. It is the largest building to-date utilizing sewage geothermal. In the photo of the machine room, you can see that 18 heat pumps provide redundancy and flexibility, tracking the building’s energy curve and allowing for on-peak/off-peak balancing.


Tianjin Chateau

This new construction 450,000 sq ft luxury residential apartment opened in 2008. Located in the heart of Tianjin City, the Tianjin Chateau uses sewage geothermal to heat and cool the building. Tianjin is the third largest city in China (population: 12.3 million) , and currently serves as a national demonstration site for green technologies.


Shanxi Municipal Building

This new construction 2,200,000 sq ft government development opened in 2007. Located in Taiyuan City (population 3.4 million) in the northern province of Shanxi, it uses sewage geothermal to heat and cool the building.


Harbin Wangjiang Hotel

This retrofit 150,000 urban hotel installed sewage geothermal technology in 2003. It is located in Harbin City, which with 9.8 million residents is the 10th largest City in China. The project has been generating annual HVAC savings of 45% since 2003.


Yue Du Hotel Beijing

This retrofit 150,000 urban hotel installed sewage geothermal technology in 2006. It is located in downtown Beijing. The project has been generating annual HVAC savings of 50% since 2006.
